Me and my best friend both come from mixed families. As part of our post graduation travels, we wanted to re-visit our family roots. My mom moved from Guatemala to the States when she was only 10 years old. Growing up, some of my most vivid memories are from my visits to Guatemala to see my family. Having this heritage in South America has made me very curious not only about Guatemala, but all of South America. In the summer of 2019 me and Etzel are going to backpack and travel throughout some countries in South America for about 1-2 months. I have never been more excited about diving into other cultures, especially cultures of my loved ones.
